I'm 16 years old and I recently sent out a myspace request on yahoo answers that if anyone wanted to be my friend, to just send me a request. I also gave the address to my myspace page, which a person could just click on. Well I was VERY surprised when I got a message from this person saying that I was ugly and I was devastated. This person is also 16 and his myspace profile looks really messed up, I mean hes very emo-ish (lol). But anyways I couldn't believe it! I have NEVER been called ugly in my life only pretty, even strangers have told me that I'm pretty and my friends say that I'm pretty and good looking also. I have blonde hair, blue eyes and am skinny, I really am pretty but I have no clue why this person would randomly send this message?? why?????

well obviously this person is jealous. i'm the same way i don't look the same as u but i know i look good and i've only been called pretty. i think that u cant let little stuff get to you! if u know ur pretty don't sweat and don't worry about it! keep lookin good and handle ur buisness!!!:)

Just ignore that person and it seems to me that whoever sent you that message isn't really feeling good about themselves. Besides, if you know you're not ugly and you've got it going on, that's wonderful! Also, its best to stay away from people who are extremely negative, because they're not worth talking to and dealing with.

You shouldn't let yourself care about it. By the sound of it, he doesn't have very much self-esteem, and is randomly lashing out in response.
Avoid posting such requests on public boards; they eventually attract people of his character.

i guess we've found a new use for Yahoo answers... confidence building... post some common insult, ask why and get rewarded with 5 or 6 answers telling you you're beautiful... something you already know and at least i think, never forgot.

Not everyone is going to think your pretty. He was most likely just stating his opinion. I wouldn't get to worked up over it.
